A: "The entry hall needs to introduce what you are going to see in the home. When the home and furniture are elegant throughout, the stairway should tell that story. I love a basic wool and sisal runner with brass containers. It will look 'of the moment' for years."

A: "We look to the client's needs to determine the color, material, and style. If they have children or pets, we select a performance design. If the client is more streamlined and modern, we typically select a solid. And if the client loves antiques and color, we opt for patterns."
Q: When is the right time to bring in a print through a rug or carpet?
A: "I incorporate animal print rugs and carpets when I want to introduce a larger variety of color into a room."

A: "I keep going back to wool, sisal, and antelope combinations.And I love Les Damiers. It's truly timeless.
