Kiki

abstract silk

Color: Sandstorm

Size: 9 X 12

The Kiki Rug brings an expressive, painterly sensibility to the enduring art of hand-knotting. Handcrafted in India from 70% wool and 30% silk, its low-pile construction and 81-knot-per-square-inch weave create a finely detailed surface where tonal depth and subtle luminosity enhance the abstract composition.

A fluid arrangement of organic forms and softly layered shapes unfolds across the field, creating the impression of a contemporary work of art. Muted neutrals are punctuated by deeper charcoal, warm taupe, and understated earthy tones, while delicate linear movement adds definition and rhythm. The restrained palette allows the interplay of wool and silk to remain at the forefront, balancing softness and texture with a subtle, light-catching sheen.

At 9' x 12', Kiki makes a sophisticated statement while maintaining a sense of quiet elegance. Each rug is individually hand-knotted by skilled artisans, and variations in knot density, texture, color, and design are inherent to the process; ensuring that every piece is as individual as the hand that made it.
