Q: What’s the first thing to consider when buying a rug?
A: Choosing the right size rug is everything. Be sure to take accurate measurements of your space, and make sure you choose a rug big enough for all your furniture. If your space has tricky dimensions, I recommend creating a custom rug (a few favorites below!) to get the perfect fit.
Q: Should I opt for a more neutral or patterned rug?
A: I always love at least a little pop of pattern. If you’re worried about going too over the top, consider the subtle styles below, which will add the perfect amount of movement and texture.

A: I’m big on layering rugs. It’s a great way to add dimension to a room. My best tip is to start with a neutral or jute style to anchor the look, then adding a patterned or vintage rug on top.
